Ten Finished Series I Have Yet to Finish

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Hello everyone,
Here are my top ten finished series I have yet to finish. I own all the books in the series and I read book 1 but haven't picked up the rest of the books.

1. Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta. I loved Finnikin of the Rock. LOVED IT. I haven't picked up the rest of the series because they follow different characters and I wanted more of Finnikin and Evanjalin.

2. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. I loved Shadow and Bone. LOVED IT. I started reading Siege and Storm but I put it down... I think because I had to read a review book? I don't remember why. But I never picked it back up. I already know the big spoilers (like who Alina ended up with) so I'm not very motivated to pick again.

3. The Selection Trilogy by Kiera Cass. I read The Selection and hated it. I couldn't stand America Singer. I HATED Aspen. Prince Maxon was tolerable. I have no desire to pick up the rest of the series in the near future. But I can't say never.

4. The Ruby Red Trilogy by Kerstin Gier. It's been years since I've read Ruby Red that I have to reread it to refresh myself in order to read Sapphire Blue. Unfortunately, I hardly reread for lack of time.

5. Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I loved Mistborn. LOVED IT. But there was a huge character death at the end of it and I'm still not over it. I can't imagine the rest of the series being as awesome without this character. I'm hoping to get to at least The Well of Ascension by December. It needs to be done!

6. Under the Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi. I really liked Under the Never Sky and I was really excited to pick up Through the Ever Night. But I didn't pick it up right away and my excitement waned. I still plan to finish the series though. Hopefully before the year is over.

7. The Elemental Trilogy by Sherry Thomas. Okay, I'm kind of cheating a bit because The Immortal Heights is not out yet, but I have the entire series so it counts. I really, really liked The Burning Sky and I hope to pick up The Perilous Sea sooner rather than later.

8. Prep School Confidential series by Kara Taylor. Prep School Confidential was such a fun read. Anne was a modern day Nancy Drew. But my biggest turn off was the love triangle. She picked one of the guys by the end of PSC, but it's not the end of it. What I'm getting from reviews is that she goes back and forth between the guys all the way to book 3. I don't know if I have the patience for that.

9. Angelfire trilogy by Courtney Allison Moulton. This one is an older series, published when paranormal YA was at its height. Unlike the other series I've listed here, I actually read the first two books in the series. I like this series a lot--I mean, it's follows the typical YA paranormal trope but it wasn't as annoying. I meant to pick up Shadows in the Silence. I don't know why I haven't.

10. Losing It series by Cora Carmack. Losing It was okay. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the student/teacher relationship it was a fun (if cheesy) read. I heard the series get better, so I'm still interested in reading the rest of the books.

Have you read any of these series? What are your thoughts?

Happy reading,

  1. I read The Selection but just can't bring myself to read the rest of the books. I liked Ruby Red but didn't like Sapphire Blue as much. I skimmed through Emerald Green but didn't read it cover to cover.

I can't wait to read The Immortal Heights. I am planning to reread The Perilous Sea again before I read the final book.

  2. I sadly must still start the Ruby Red trilogy! I have all 3 books too!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. Oh, my goodness....finish The Grisha and Under the Never Sky! Those are two of my all-time favorites! The Selection series is a guilty pleasure of mine, too. Great list, good luck finishing them!

  4. Oh my gosh....DEFINITELY pick up the Grisha series. Book 2 is actually my favorite and I think the strongest of the 3 :) but yeah... It's hard to finish them when they are sooo many other books out there!

  5. From the losing it series I liked it the best and hated a couple of the others. Some where ok though so I suppose they are worth the read cause they are short. I hope you enjoyed them more than me!

  8. Great list! I like to try the Lumatere series! Here's my Top Ten Tuesday:

  9. I feel you on The Selection series. I heard it gets better and they are making more so I may jump back in.

  10. At least you have all the books you need to read. I highly recommend the Grisha series. Including all of the novellas. READ EVERYTHING THAT LEIGH PUBLISHES.

I need to read Emerald Green as well!
