The cover is gorgeous. The title is intriguing. The description really gets my imagination going and I want to know more. So, so, so excited for Beware the Wild!!

[I actually just downloaded Beware the Wild on Edelweiss yesterday. If you use Edelweiss try and get it, let me know and let's buddy read it. I've always wanted to buddy read with someone.]

It's an oppressively hot and sticky morning in June when Sterling and her brother, Phin, have an argument that compels him to run into the town swamp -- the one that strikes fear in all the residents of Sticks, Louisiana. Phin doesn't return. Instead, a girl named Lenora May climbs out, and now Sterling is the only person in Sticks who remembers her brother ever existed.

Sterling needs to figure out what the swamp's done with her beloved brother and how Lenora May is connected to his disappearance -- and loner boy Heath Durham might be the only one who can help her.

This debut novel is full of atmosphere, twists and turns, and a swoon-worthy romance.

Beware the Wild
will be released on October 21, 2014. Click on the cover to go to the book's Goodreads page.

"Books I Covet" is a weekly or bi-weekly blog post series we do here on Wednesdays. It will feature books we are very excited about reading and plan on buying/borrowing in the near future. It is basically the "Waiting On" meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine, but we just like the title "books we covet" better. We will include the books' blurb, cover art, and/or release date if they're available.

  4. One Piece hits another dramatic episode replica handbags here after the dealings with Ace and it continues to be just as powerful at a time when you can't be sure what direction the story will go. Whitebeard hasn't been a hermes outlet character that I've been terribly drawn to in this arc but he's definitely grown on me and this episode is a defining one for him that fully sets his name to legend in a way that fendi outlet easily inspires others, especially as all his family are there to witness it and tell the tale. No embellishment need be made of this moment as it's larger than life already. And that he finishes out the rolex submariner replica events in a way that gives the Navy a huge middle finger with a sense of style, it cements his legend among the pirates even more. There are some great moments of action here, but it'sthe quieter moments that will make this a defining episode of the series.
